Coaching for men over 40

DadBody coaching, in plain language

DadBody coaching is a small-group programme for men over 40, mostly dads, who are good at everything except looking after themselves. I am Dai Manuel, and I built it because I was that man before I coached him.

What DadBody coaching actually is

It is not a bootcamp, not a shred, and not three hours a week with a trainer counting your reps. It is thirty minutes a day, done most days, inside a small group that notices when you go quiet. Fifteen minutes of movement, five of stillness, ten of reading something that makes you better. That is two percent of your day, and it is the whole method.

I know who you are. I know why you joined. I know how you are doing, because you check in weekly and I read every one. That is the part no app can copy, and it is the part I protect hardest. This page tells you whether it is for you, and who it is not for.

The three ways in

Power 30, free.

The full four-week starter programme from my book, published on this site, no email required. Every day is written out, including the baseline test. Start Power 30. If thirty free days change nothing, the paid ones will not either.

DadBody 28, the starting block.

Twenty-eight days, one payment of $99 CAD, and a group that runs the same days you do. This is where most men begin. How DadBody 28 works.

MERGE60, the measured sixty.

Sixty days, twelve men, application only. DEXA scan before and after, food tracked, every check-in read. How MERGE60 works. Dates and seats for both programmes are on the cohorts page.

Why thirty minutes and not more

Because the plan you will actually do beats the plan you admire. Thirty minutes survives travel, deadlines, a sick kid and the worst week of your year. Ninety minutes survives none of them. Men do not fail programmes because the programmes were too easy. They fail because the programmes could not survive a bad Tuesday.

Every programme carries a thirty-day money-back guarantee, spelled out on the refunds page. If it is not working, you get your money back. I would rather lose a sale than keep a man paying for something he is not doing.

The questions men ask about DadBody coaching

What is DadBody coaching?

DadBody coaching is a small-group fitness and habit coaching programme for men over 40, mostly fathers, run by coach Dai Manuel from Vancouver. It is built on thirty minutes a day: fifteen minutes of movement, five of stillness, ten of reading. No gym membership is required and no programme is sold by the hour.

Is DadBody a gym programme or an online programme?

Both. The programmes run in person from Vancouver and online at the same time. What matters is not where you train, it is whether you do the thirty minutes and answer to the group. Members check in weekly and the coach knows who you are, why you joined and how you are doing.

How much time does DadBody coaching take each day?

Thirty minutes, called the 15/5/10: fifteen minutes of movement, five minutes of stillness, ten minutes of reading. That is two percent of the day, small enough to survive the worst week of your year. The consistency is the product, not the workout.

Is there a free way to try DadBody coaching?

Yes. Power 30 is the free four-week starter programme from the Whole Life Fitness Manifesto book, all 28 days published on this site with the baseline test. Most men should start there. If thirty free days change nothing, the paid programmes will not either.

Does DadBody coaching come with a guarantee?

Yes. Every DadBody programme carries a thirty-day money-back guarantee. If it is not working, email within thirty days and the payment comes back, no reason needed and no exit interview. The refund policy is published in plain language on the refunds page.
