Evidence

What happened last time

I ran this with twenty-three men and told them to name their own price.

Matt P. lost twenty-eight pounds in seventy-five days, two hundred and seven down to one seventy-nine, and had a DEXA scan to confirm it was fat and not muscle.

Jason S. lost five kilos and put visible muscle on. He said his sleep quality went to a hundred percent, which is his phrasing, not mine.

Maurice T. held his sobriety through the whole sixty days and tracked his own biometrics consistently for the first time in his life.

Karl J. ran a marathon during the program. He also gave me the lowest score in the group, five out of ten, and I have kept it on the page because you should know the range.

FIG. 02Randall T.: 21 months on.

Randall T. came out of hernia surgery faster than his surgeon expected. He then stayed on with me and twenty-one months later his body fat is eight point one percent at fifty-nine years old.

Fourteen men rated the program at the end. Here is every score, not the average: five, seven, seven, eight, eight, eight, nine, nine, ten, ten, ten, ten, ten, ten.

Honesty

What I got wrong

FIG. 04The notes, the misses and the work of making it simpler.

Only thirty-four percent of that group completed every scheduled workout. Seven of the twenty-six ended up inactive. My own notes from week three say "system overload and confusion was a real thing still."

This round is simpler. Fewer moving parts, same coaching. I would rather twelve men finish than twenty-three start.

03

The work

What it actually is

  • Sixty days. Twelve men. One group call a week and one conversation with me one to one.
  • A baseline on day one, a retest at the end, and you keep both.
  • Daily direction, workouts, nutrition and recovery built around the life you actually have.
  • A room of eleven other men who are the same kind of busy as you.

04

Selection

Who gets in

Men who can be in the room every week. That is the single biggest predictor of whether this works, and it is why there is an application rather than a checkout button.

FIG. 07The room matters as much as the plan.

I am looking for twelve. I would rather have eight of the right men than twelve of the available ones.

Questions

The things men ask me first

What exactly is MERGE60?
Sixty days of small-group coaching for twelve men, run out of Vancouver by Dai Manuel. You get a training plan built to your setup, one group call a week, daily logging, and a full set of measurements taken at the start and again at the end.
Why is MERGE60 application only?
Twelve places go fast, and the wrong twelve men make the room worse for everyone in it. The application takes a few minutes and tells me whether the timing is right for you. If it is not, I will say so rather than take your money.
How much time does it take each week?
Three to four training sessions, one group call, and a couple of minutes a day to log. When your week falls apart there is a minimum version of the plan, so you keep the streak instead of quitting.
Do I need a gym to join?
Access to weights makes it easier, but the plan is built around what you actually have. Tell me your setup on the application and I will build to it.
I am not in Vancouver. Can I still do it?
Yes. The programme runs online and the cohorts always include men outside the city. The calls are scheduled Vancouver time, so check that works for you before you apply.
What does MERGE60 cost, and can I get a refund?
It is $999 for this cohort. A deposit holds your place and the balance is due before kickoff. The deposit is refundable up to seven days before the start date, and after kickoff there are no refunds. The terms page spells all of it out in plain language.
What happens after the sixty days?
You get a written results pack comparing your baseline against your retest, plus access to the alumni channel. Ongoing coaching is optional and nothing renews automatically.
What if all twelve places are gone?
Join the waitlist. You get first notice of the next cohort dates, and if a place opens before kickoff you hear about it first. DadBody 28 is the shorter option if you would rather not wait.
